Hello, world! I'm Sensei Brandon Noble, your go-to guy for all things martial arts and a bit of life wisdom on the side. I'm the lucky dad to three superhero kids: Brayden, Cameron, and Kayley. Oh, and let's not forget Elsa, our family's furball of energy and chaos. We're transplants from the sunny vibes of Sacramento, CA to the lush landscapes of Wake Forest, NC—a journey that's been as much about finding our new favorite pizza spot as it has been about making this beautiful state our home. It was a bit like trying to learn a new kata in the dark at first, but now we can't imagine being anywhere else!
My tale kicks off in 1991, with a three-year-old me being absolutely mesmerized by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yeah, I was that kid. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a part of their cool, pizza-loving crew? My parents, in a moment of brilliance (or desperation to channel my endless energy), decided martial arts might just be the thing. Little did we all know, they were setting the stage for my life's passion. After a bit of dojo shopping, we hit the jackpot with Liner’s Kenpo Karate, where Master Darryl Liner took me under his wing. While most sports said, "Come back when you're older," he welcomed me with open arms.
He didn't just teach me martial arts; he taught me life through martial arts, making me a champ both in and out of the dojo. Fast forward to 1995, and there I was, a seven-year-old black belt, ready to take on the world—one karate chop at a time. My teaching journey began there, with every opportunity to lead a class filling me with an indescribable joy. My martial arts saga didn't stop there.
In 1999, I joined forces with Master Instructor Doyle McMahan at Dragon Star Karate. This was where I truly came into my own, diving deep into the world of Karate, Hwa Rang Do, Jeet Kune Do, Tang Soo Do, Krav Maga, Jiu-Jitsu, XMA, and a handful of other styles. Doyle wasn't just a mentor; he was the Yoda to my Luke, teaching me not just how to throw a punch, but how to inspire and lead. He showed me the ropes of leadership, teaching, and even the business side of running a dojo.
Thanks to these two martial arts wizards, I've had the privilege of training over 5,000 students, promoting more than 400 black belts, and helping to open three martial arts schools. I've led a demo team that dazzled audiences nationwide and discovered my life's mission: to share the transformative power of martial arts with as many souls as possible.
Martial arts transformed my life in ways I could never have imagined as that wide-eyed kid watching ninja turtles. My goal now? To pass on this incredible gift to today's youth, to inspire, to teach, and to make a positive impact on the next generation. At Noble's Martial Arts, we're about more than just martial arts; we're about family, fun, and finding your own inner ninja.
So, whether you're here to embark on your own martial arts journey, looking for a family-friendly activity, or just curious about the guy behind the dojo, welcome! We're thrilled to have you join our martial arts family. Let's make some memories, share some laughs, and maybe, just maybe, learn how to save the world, one karate chop at a time.
